the glory of love

marriage. I know I'm still too young to discuss about it. I'm so not gonna talk much about the marriage itself. I'm gonna share my view of it.

I have attended many wedding receptions. last time, it was my oldest cousin's. he threw two receptions, and both were amazing; simple yet elegant, decorated beautifully, showered with maroon and gold wedding party supplies, flowers everywhere. they're probably not the biggest reception ever and no we didn't break any wedding facts or records. hahaha. but they're simply amazing.

I didn't come to the procession hymn from Vandana, Trisarana, and Panacsila. I was on a German course, and it was my last meeting so I couldn't skip it as I had an oral test too. I met them after the procession, getting ready for the first reception. we met at the bridal, the bride and groom were having their makeup retouched. I saw them, a very happy couple, indeed. we all went back to the hotel, where the reception was held.

I wore a simple long gold night gown and was asked to help them to welcome the invited guests. not really a hard task to do; just greet them. hahaha. one thing I couldn't stand was the makeup. I rarely use it, so my face and eyes aren't really used to it. I think it was the longest 6 hours in my life so far. hehehe

the night was over. went back home around 11-12. was tired as hell but still needed to remove the makeup..... dang! just wanted go straight hit the bed..... thank God I still had some energy left to wash my face and remove the makeup.

the second reception was held in our hometown, Pangkal Pinang. I've posted it here; it's Bangka-Belitung generally but yea..... okay. so it's held in a function hall which can accommodate for around 2000 people. yes, 2000. it was really crowded, but I don't know how many people were there. and in front of those crowd, my cousin had decided to publish the video from the first reception.

it showed from their preparation inside the rooms, their makeups, the religious procession, and the wedding reception. the most touching moment of course on the procession. in front of the monks, they vowed and "declared" the Vandana, Trisarana, and Panacsila. I noticed some of the guests dropped a tear. then I felt it was really majestic. I didn't know love can be this great.

for me, as a young teenager (LOL), marriage is something magical. it's a once-in-a-lifetime event. marriage is the prove of a couple's declaration of love. it is something sacred; something you can't kid of. well, that's all. don't be too serious here. hahaha
